TRAVEL: 5 Reasons to visit Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada

Hello there!

Is it just me or it feels like I haven’t blogged in forever? I have been so busy planning a conference called “Live it Loud”; which is only the most awesome young adults conference ever!  Ever been so invested in something or someone that even when you close your eyes to sleep, all you see is the thing or person? Yup! This was me: I would close my eyes and all I could see was Whatsapp group messages from the different planning teams…mehn, I had a serious case of “liveitloudilitis.” Anyways, with Live it Loud (look out for a post about this) planning officially over (for now), I believe there is now some freed up space in my mind to focus on other things…like telling you about Lake Louise!DPP_0828

I had traveled to Edmonton, Alberta for this conference on the civic holiday long weekend (July 29-Aug 1) and I was DETERMINED to visit Lake Louise before returning to Ontario. I have to say that it was worthwhile driving 4 hours from Edmonton to see this magnificent work of God! It seemed too unreal on google images, I had to see it for myself.

Still not convinced? Here are 5 reasons you should visit Lake Louise Alberta at least twice in your lifetime, because a one time visit is simply not enough to take in this beauty!

  1. It is BEAUTIFUL!DPP_0866
  2. It is a great day trip from Edmonton & Calgary. A road trip is ALWAYS a wonderful opportunity to bond with family and friends…I got to do the trip with 3 of my sisters, it was quite delightful (scroll down for video snaps). IMG_20160801_140414
  3. It is the perfect place to retreat when you need to escape the craziness of life. I mean how can you not be refreshed staying in a place like Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise?  I just wonder what this place looks like at night…Trust that I would be back to find out!IMG_20160801_141603
  4. If you are a nature enthusiast, Lake Louise is a great excursion for you! There are lots of activities to get you out and infused with nature. May I also mention that even the AIR is different…so Fresh!DPP_0887
  5. Lake Louise is only a 40 minutes drive from Banff (another perfect getaway in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta).DPP_0772

So there you have it! There are many more reasons to visit Lake Louise, but I would rather you go and discover them for yourself 🙂 If you have any recommendations of other places worth day tripping from Edmonton/Calgary, please do not hesitate to comment below, I would really love to hear them 🙂 Until next time!

Psstttt, you can view some of my video snaps from Lake Louise HERE.

Unapologetically Travelling,

Tols!
