I know I am a tad late, but since we are still in September, I think I am right on time. You can all agree with me that August is the best month ever 😜; not only because it is my birth month, but also because it’s the last month of summer, thus preparing you for the long cold months ahead. Nothing makes you appreciate summer more than seeing fall barge in unannounced.
August 2015 was full of surprises, both good and not so good. Here’s a quick run through of some of the memorable moments: long weekend west coast pop in (hi Edmonton & Calgary family😊), won a $3000 bursary💵💵💵 offered by Women In Niagara & Lancaster Brooks & Welch LLP, got to drive the white version of my car for ten days (some people may have thought I was pushing drugs lol #nocomment), got some special surprise gifts🎁🎁🎁…and Oh and it was my birthday (birthday outfit featured in today’s post). Anyways, in all things (whether good or not so good) I am thankful, most especially for the surprises that “collided” with me in August.
September is off to a good start: remember that $3000 bursary? Good! Now cancel all the spending plans you made, because it is for me to attend a cutting edge leadership course from Leadership Niagara. It became really real when I heard and saw that I was featured in the newspaper as the bursary recipient. Thank you WIN & LBW for the wonderful opportunity. Although I was not sure what to expect, the first two classes were mind blowing; I made great connections, learned a lot, and got so inspired I can hardly wait for the next session. This is one of those secret blessings that I am forever grateful for.
Anyhoo, I am working on some creative projects that I will be unveiling in a week or two. Hope you stick around. In the meantime, here is a totally unrelated image to brighten your day 🙂
Unapologetically Different and forever thankful,
