Hello beautiful people!
I trust that you had a splendid week and are not too tired from all the black Friday, blue Saturday and cyber Monday Shopping. First off, I’d like to welcome you to your best month yet…DECEMBER! I hope and pray that it will be a December to remember for you as you usher in 2015.
It has been a whirlwind of a weekend, jam packed with meetings, events and personal assignments (Black Friday shopping included 😃), and I am yet to get enough sleep, but it’s all good.
So about this weekend, I attended a dinner gala. Good company, good food, red carpet, fun times, everything about the evening was “fabulous”, like one lady said repeatedly. And the best part was, I didn’t have to spend a dime on buying a dress for the evening, instead I reinvented an old dress…
…and ended up with this beauty
All I had to do was add a mermaid skirt at the bottom. and voila!
If sewing is not your forte, don’t worry, there are other ways to reinvent your clothing that does not involve a sewing machine.
Here are two fun ideas you could try out (I will be posting more reinvention ideas as time goes on). Get creative, have fun with it and just do you 🙂
One white dress, three looks (little white dress, dress as a top, formal dress)
One hemmed pink fabric, two looks (wrap & skirt)
So you see, all you need is a little creativity to land you that next show stopping, head turning, jaw dropping outfit! So what do you think? Gone are the days of “I have nothing to wear” right?
I would love to see your “reinventions”, please share or tag @tolscreations on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter!
Thanks for stopping by! In the mean time, here are some extras from my outfits on Saturday and Sunday…enjoy 🙂
